This wheel removes the humidity from the air passed through it. Once the humidity level is lowered, it is blown back to the room. There is an air duct underneath the dehumidifier that is kept hot all the time. The wheel that absorbs the moisture rotates through this heated air chamber in order to get dried up. An electric motor and a fan is used to suck in air and the hot wet air is later discarded through an exhaust pipe.
